Design Notes: Behind the Scenes of the First Edition:
The first edition of Maizon Magazine was born as the idea of a painter who creates a
frame: slowly, carefully, between one idea and another that didn't want to go away.
It was more than choosing beautiful photos or creating pages with a pleasing layout. It was about thinking about how to capture a feeling: the feminine in a state of freedom, the beauty that lives in the details, the silence full of meaning. Each article emerged as a sensitive fragment of what moves me: the colors I saw on Sunday mornings, the Rio sea as a backdrop and metaphor, the objects that hold memories without making noise.
This magazine was created with my eyes and my heart. On each page, there's a glimpse of my places, my favorite seasons, the songs that accompany me when no one's looking, what I think and often have nowhere to express. Maizon is, above all, an undeclared diary, a space where aesthetics, affection, and time meet.
The curation was and always will be artisanal: loose sentences between paragraphs, intuitive collages, titles that came like whispers in the middle of the night (yes, I stayed up many nights not wanting to sleep so as not to lose my ideas). The process was silent and intense, and each decision was driven by something that wasn't just logical, but felt.
It was also an emotional process. Sharing with friends, hearing honest feedback, discovering that other women also missed a magazine that was more than just trends. One that was a breath of fresh air, inspiration, and a mirror.
A mix of Pinterest inspiration, Spotify playlists, and the desire to showcase what I have to offer, a magazine was born. A debut volume that doesn't just want to be read, it wants to be felt, and above all, it wants to make the eyes and heart understand my message. A publication that carries the soul of an authorial project, crafted with the time that delicacy demands.
